Free Christmas Song Chord Charts

Are you looking for a fun activity for your students this Holiday season?

I’ve compiled the chord charts for ten classic Christmas songs!  If you’ve considered teaching your students to read chord charts/chord symbols before, this is your perfect chance.  My students like playing songs they already know, and they love Christmas music.

Besides, these songs can only be played once a year…  (Okay, I know you’re guilty of listening to Christmas mid-summer, but I won’t tell anyone 😉 …)

(The Christmas Song Chord Chart download includes ten chord charts perfect for teaching beginner/intermediate students how to get started.  I also include a few chord chart teaching tips.)

Christmas Songs That Are Included

All the songs are from the public domain so you can print off as many copies as you want for your students.  The following songs are included:

  • Angels We Have Heard On High
  • Deck the Hall
  • God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
  • I Saw Three Ships
  • Jingle Bells
  • Jolly Old Saint Nicholas
  • O Holy Night
  • Silent Night
  • We Three Kings
  • What Child Is This?

The chord charts are in the simple keys of C Major, G Major, or E Minor (if that sounds too easy, you can practice transposing them with your students).
